PLEASE JOIN US for an intriguing look at the beautifully rendered figure paintings by Santa Cruz artist, D. Hooker. Ms. Hooker’s unusual portraits are at once whimsical and profound, bold and subtle, delicate and powerful. She mixes oil paint, charcoal, glue and various collage materials to create very fresh and dynamic depictions of human faces and bodies, and does so with a foundation of expert drawing. She creates two-dimensional paintings on wood, plexiglas and panel as well as ‘block puzzle’ pieces on wooden cigar boxes.

Gallery visitors will enjoy playful interaction with these sensitive and fanciful views of humanity.
